Dear lovely students and parents of students,

Hoping you are all staying warm and healthy as the chilly weather starts rolling in!

This month I want to give a big “SHOUT OUT!” to all my littlest learners, the “pre-twinklers and twinklers”: I am so very proud of them for their perseverance and curiosity, and of course their amazing “Frog Huggers, Bumpy Thumbs, Pointy Pinky’s and Captain Hooks”

Not too many new things to report in the October newsletter but it is nice to connect with you all anyway!

1. Booking stuff…

- There is now a general schedule listed on my website here.

Some of you book on a weekly basis and some of you have booked multiple weeks in advance.

I am hoping that this visual schedule can help my weekly bookers see where there are available time slots!

*Special Booking Note* If you would like to book multiple lessons in advance and reserve a spot at the same time each week, but continue to pay on a weekly basis let me know in your next lesson and I will show you how to do this!

2. Website updates

I have added “Terms&Conditions” to the booking process of my website, but they can also be seen here. Now, when you book a lesson you will be prompted to read and agree. Nothing changes for your lessons with me but this is just getting all my ducks in a row as a private music teacher

Now that boring stuff is out of the way, check out this livestream concert:

This is The Philadelphia Orchestra performing in a famous hall in New York City called Carnegie Hall! They play Symphony No. 5 by Ludwig Van Beethoven - a very famous orchestral work. Do you recognise it? Keep an eye out for the flute player in the orchestra in the first half. That is my big brother, Patrick Williams!

SOCIAL STUFF:

Google Business Page: leave a review here

https://www.facebook.com/nurturedcreativity - Public Facebook Group to share with your family and friends!

Instagram! Follow for useful practice tips and videos of music that you’re learning

If you ever post about music on social media, you can tag me using @nurturedcreativity_music and the #nurturedcreativitymusic

Looking forward…

I will be hosting two winter group recitals for you all to pick a song to perform - one Virtual and one In-person! You could do both or either :) Keep an eye out for dates and details in the November Newsletter and on Facebook!

Just like last time, the photo release form is attached! If you would not mind me sharing a photo of you once in a while via social media, fill out the form and email it back to me or bring it to your next lesson! I also have a stack of these printed so at your next in-person lesson you can fill it out there if you like instead.

Lastly, if there is any news you would like to share with your fellow violin and viola students (for example, a cool concert you are going to attend, a song you have learned that you are very proud of, or even an inspiring music video!), then please feel free to send me an email with the information you would like shared!

That’s all for now!

As always, let me know if you have any questions.

In the meantime, happy practicing!
