Can you believe it is February already? Time flies in this New Year - Hope it has been a Happy one for you all so far.

Welcome to the very first newsletter of 2022. It has been a very busy start to the year for Nurtured Creativity - and we’ve added a couple new students to the violin studio. A very big welcome to Emily, Cian, Jake and Iris!

For those of you that are new, if you are curious about past newsletters, these are all uploaded to my website here. For the students that have been with me for a while, you can look back at them for a reminder off the announcements from December (updated rate, scheduling changes, MyMusicStaff, etc.)

Announcement:

1. Solo Recitals - Emma is having her first Solo Virtual Violin Recital.

The recital is this Saturday, 12th February 2022 at 4pm on Skype

She would like to invite you all to attend! We would love to see you there!

2. Group Classes - From March I will be starting up a Beginners Music Theory Class for Adults. This is an online class in which we will work on understanding Music Notation, Rhythms, and Key Signatures. Please let me know if you are interested by March 1st

Reminders:

- Take advantage of the new Student Portal on MyMusicStaff. Here you can access teaching calendar, see open lesson slots, lesson notes (and weekly practice charts if you like using them!), invoices, scanned PDFs of music, practice videos and links. If you need help logging in, and getting set up, let me know!

- Payments for lessons are now invoiced monthly (if you need to cancel, you can get a make up credit or a refund for one lesson)

- Please note the updated rate for 2022 and alter your automatic payments, if you have not done so already

I am planning on hosting many more group classes in the new year, both virtual and in-person. Send me an email if you would like to know more about them and if you have any specific music topics you would like to explore (e.g., music theory, fiddling, movie music, technique masterclasses - options are endless!)

Lastly, if there is any news you would like to share with your fellow violin and viola students (for example, a cool concert you are going to attend, a song you have learned that you are very proud of, or even an inspiring music video!), then please feel free to send me an email with the information you would like shared.
