Warmest wishes to you all during this final month of 2021!
November was a busy month for Nurtured Creativity - and we’ve added a couple young students to the violin studio. A very big welcome to River, Josie, Aira and Erin!
I have a few announcements ahead of the New Year:
1. New and Improved Scheduling
I am transitioning all of my students to a new scheduling system starting in January.
The big changes are:
Each student will now have their own weekly time slot.
Subject to availability, you are still able to reschedule your lesson to a different time/date or cancel your lesson. Just make sure to give me at least 24 hours notice, and I will do my best to accommodate.
Invoiced Lessons with Bi-weekly, Monthly or 12 Lesson payment options
This new scheduling system should ensure that we have a more regular timetable of lessons. I will talk with each of you individually to make sure we pick a suitable time - if you already have a weekly time slot, and you are happy with it, you can keep that time. However, I want to maintain flexibility for those of you that need it.
Once I have found a suitable time slot for each of you, I will post an updated weekly schedule on the website and you will all have access to the improved calendar through your (new) Student Portal. If you do need to reschedule, you can check the calendar to see if there is availability during your desired time slot.
This system means that you no longer pay for your lessons upon booking through my website. Now, you will choose your payment plan (Bi-Weekly, Monthly or 12 lessons in advance) and I will send you a personalised invoice. You can still pay by card or bank transfer.
For those of you that book "once in a while" lessons with me (Adi, Cecilia, Xiaotian and James): Do not worry!!! Lessons are still available for you, just email me directly a week before you would like a lesson and we can find a time.
2. MyMusicStaff
All studio admin is being moved over to MyMusicStaff. Each student will have access to their own login to a Portal where you will have access to the things listed below:
My teaching calendar
Lesson Notes (and weekly Practice Charts if you like using them!)
Invoices
Scanned PDFs of music
Practice videos and links
You will get login information for the portal when your first lesson is scheduled through MyMusicStaff.com
3. Advance Notice:
From January 10th I am raising my hourly rate from £35/hr to £40/hr. The new pricing is as follows:
30 minute lessons = £20
45 minute lessons = £30
1 hour lessons = £40

I am planning on hosting many more group classes in the new year, both virtual and in-person.
